The Contaminated Cowl/The Mad Hatter Run Afoul
Plot:Mad Hatter is back to steal Batman’s cowl

Trivia:Reportedly Maybe hated the role and it took a lot to get him to reprise the role one more time.
Niitpick:I never understood why Batman’s cowl was pink, I get the radiation but why pink? I was disappointed they didn’t do anything new with the hat gimmick besides the same mesmerizing trick he had last time. Though Hatter says he is going to start using hats to steal.
Bat Silliness:This episode epitomizes to me the difference between this show and the dark gritty Batman. Batnan and Robin are presumed dead, and the world mourns. In the end when the obviously alive Batman and Robin emerge from defeating the villain they are met to thunderous applause from a massive crowd. That is definitely a Superman moment, not Batman.
Bat Gadget:Batman took an anti radioactive bat bill to protect himself from the radiation and has an x-ray deflector in his utility belt
Bat Trap:The duo trapped in a fluorescent cabinet to be killed by high voltage x-ray’s. Love those traps so impossible to escape that the escape is off screen.
Final Thoughts:I guess I gotta give credit that the villain has the same goal as last time. It seems like these villains forget their previous schemes every time they escape. However as you recall I said in this case the goal never made sense. Why does Hatter want Batman’s cowl? Hatter has his hat check girl spray Batman with a radiation that makes the cowl pink. When Batman goes to get it decontaminated he will be ready to steal it. Of course Batman isn’t stupid enough not to see that coming. Though we never find out where Batman got that second cowl, up his a**? The trap is supposed to reduce the two into skeletons in seconds, we enter part 2 on skeletons! As news of this is shared with Gotham, and the world, we find out it was a ruse to….I have no idea why they did that. It truly makes no sense. Hatter enacts his master plan to steal a ruby despite the world wide mourning while Bruce is overwhelmed by the world reaction. The final fight is on a water tower which is different.
Grade:A- that pink cowl looked even sillier in high def. The plot of Hatter is weak giving us a lot of filler in Part 2 and I still say the hat gimmick is underdeveloped.. Story isn’t well done so why the high grade? Because I always remembered this one so I give it credit for that!!
