So yesterday I did living rooms, it was only fair to discuss popular sitcom kitchens next. And as you may imagine, pictures were even harder to find!
Kitchens in sitcoms can be an important room. On TV, these rooms are more than just places for the characters to eat. These rooms are often where the characters share what is going in with their lives, and in some shows we spend more time in the kitchen’s than any other room! Here are fifteen sitcom kitchens which despite their differences in size and decor, are integral parts of their respective shows.
Cosby Show
The Huxtable kitchen was always a great place, Cliff loves to cook and it kind of shows in the decor. But why was it pink? It would finally get changed in the final season. And yes I know the cast is in the pic best I could do. We'll have a few more too.
Home Improvement
I ignored Home Improvement yesterday so here is a little love as we see the living room too. The kitchen is kind of small, in fact the table is across the way it doesn’t even fit. You also gotta admire the set how the door is upstage, that’s rare.
Roseanne
It’s kind of impressive just a how big a space this kitchen is. Where did it fit in that house?
Everybody Loves Raymond
It’s not a great picture but with all the scenes that take place in this kitchen how could I overlook it?
Frasier
Frasier’s kitchen is small but has some pretty cool accessories in it. I love the counter that no one ever sat at, ever. This pic also shows the other side of the set I missed yesterday.
Will & Grace
Bewitched
Another show I didn’t mention last time was this, and the home which is a classic. The exterior’s and interior’s were used in so many shows. I always loved the kitchen, it always looked so…quaint!
Brady Bunch
Taking places a little later than Bewitched we see a kitchen a little more modern but still very much 70’s. Gotta love the orange.
Big Bang Theory
Not much to say, a very organized space with a Batman cookie jar.
Full House
This was a nice big kitchen which this pic does not do justice. I love all the touches to indicate that there are kids there. A lot TV shows overlook things like children’s drawings on the fridge.
Friends
Monica and Rachel’s apartment the coziest kitchen area. It’s nice to see the living room be spacious and the kitchen small. And course because it’s Monica’s, it’s organized!
The Golden Girls
The kitchen on this show was used so often and is so familiar it’s almost iconic. You can just see the four ladies sitting at the table talking over a piece of Cheesecake. The funny thing is that the set had been used before on other shows, most notably in a short lived sitcom called “It Takes Two”
2 Broke Girls
There is something about this kitchen, which is really just a wall with appliances on it.
Modern Family
As you probably know I am not a big fan of this show. But man is this kitchen nice! Seriously I want it!
Again I had trouble with pics so some obvious choices are missing but I just had to have a couple 0n here even if the cast is in the pic.
Happy Days
I always loved how bright this kitchen was, while not that spacious. The fridge was the best part and of course it isn't in the photo.
Mad About You
I always liked the little kitchen the Buchman's had. Since neither cooked they didn't really need a big one, though that oven is archaic!!
Who’s The Boss?
Just a nice kitchen and goes perfect with the rest of the interior
and of course….
Family Ties
The Keaton’s spend to much time in that kitchen there were times you forgot the house had other rooms in it! The kitchen was also oddly retro, stuck in a different time period. In fact they address this in one episode when they decide to remodel but Steven can’t part with it.
Plenty more out there, comment and let me know what your favorite sitcom kitchen is.
