Top 10 Worst Batman TV Show Villains

I wanted to do this list a long time ago but my memory of the show was so hazy I didn't bother. Well now that I've fixed that by watching all 120 episodes, we can finally discuss the ten villains I thought were the worst. There were a lot of villains that came through this show, and some were obviously better than others. What about a favorite list? Nah because that would be so easy it's not fun. Joker would be #1. 

So in order to make this list the character needs to be a complete fail. Sometimes a lame villain can be brought up by a good actor having fun playing them. And other times a great villain can be done in by an actor who isn't interested at all. These ten have the whole package. 

Top 10 Favorite Batman Designs

Two months ago I discussed my favorite super hero costumes. You know, the costumes that are just aesthetic pleasing to me with no regard for character or anything else like that. And on that list was Batman. But the thing is, Batman’s design has changed a lot over the years. Oh sure the basic design is always the same, but as the character as grown as did his outfit. I kinda illustrated this a couple weeks ago in my rundown of Detective Comics over the last 80 years. But which of these are my
favorites?

So since we’re still celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Caped Crusader, it seemed only fair to go over them. Here are my ten favorite Batman designs. These come from comics, cartoons, and live media. But no video games, I had to draw the line somewhere! Also no crazy variations either like Elsewords stories or that awful 90’s heavy metal version.

#10.Superfriends Batman

I had to put this on here because I grew up with this version. This was the version I knew best as a kid. And looking back, yeah it’s kinda silly looking. They have the design down but there’s just something about the way it’s drawn that I just can’t see this Batman striking fear into much of anything.

Top 10 Favorite Sitcom Horn Dogs

There’s a strange cliche in sitcoms which really makes no sense. You have family friendly shows aimed for audiences including children. And yet will get characters who are always, well, horny! I don’t mean that they are interested dating or companionship, I mean that they simply want sex. And they want it all the time! These characters are often crass and rude…and we love them! Seriously every character on this list is a fan favorite from the various show’s. Why is that? Probably because these characters have a real zest for life and an energy that is infectious. And since it’s TV we don’t really believe they’ve have had as many dates as they claim they do. Either way, these are often the characters that are the most popular and loved.

Course not every show gets it right, like Kirk from “Dear John”. He was the typical sleazy character but sadly as hard as Jere Burns tried the character never really developed. There’s also Married..With Children’s Peg Bundy who I think was more starved for attention than she was horny. But most often shows will get it right and give us beloved characters who always had three little letters on their minds. Here are ten examples :






#10.Fonzie

You may be surprised I put him so high given his affection for the ladies. Not to mention their affection for him. I mean, who else can have women line up at the snap of their fingers? But Happy Days was on in a simpler time so any sex Fonz had was implied, at the most! But it was clear he loved the ladies so it was only fair to mention him here. Henry Winkler made this character an icon. And he did manage at least one serious relationship in the series. By the way Laverne from Laverne and Shirley could almost count here but just like Fonzie, it always implied.

Top 10 Friends Thanksgiving Episodes

Normally for Thanksgiving I like to go over sitcom Thanksgiving episodes. Except for the two years I did nothing that is. In the past I've either reviewed one episode for a series, or an overview of an entire series worth of episodes. But so far I haven't talked about one sitcom that was almost synonymous with Thanksgiving. Which show?

Yep, Friends did a memorable and clever Thanksgiving episode ever year. Well, nearly every year. And I decided it was finally time to decide which was the best, and the worst. From the looks of it I am not the first to do this. By any means. Oh well, every list is different so there's that. Here's my list anyway. Here are my top 10 Friends Thanksgiving episodes, from worst to best.

#10."The One With the List" (Season 2)

When I said they did great Thanksgiving episodes every year, meet the exception. Season two gave us no real Thanksgiving episode unless you count the B story here which I really don't. But I needed 10 episodes, so....

Top 10 Miller/Boyett TV Show Openings

Awhile back I talked about the Miller/Boyett production company. Helmed by Thomas Miller and Robert Boyett they produced a ton of memorable shows in the 80’s and 90’s. There’s actually a lot to this story, including when it was Miller-Milkis, but I wont bore you with a history lesson. Suffice to say they produced shows we still love and remember today. And all of these shows had clever, memorable theme songs.

We all know these theme songs. They are silly, corny, totally 80’s…and I love them!!!! Seriously I wish they still made TV shows and theme songs like this. These shows, mostly, were a big part of TGIF being successful for ABC because they were so family friendly but still watchable. So I thought it would be fun to go through and rank these themes, from the most grating to the most pleasing. In order to make it ten I am including the less popular shows. And I decided to ignore the Milkis era, leaving off gems like Happy Days and Laverne and Shirley. This is strictly the Miller/Boyett shows which began around 1986.





#10.The Family Man
Never heard of it? There’s a reason. This show was pretty quickly forgotten, and it was bad right from the theme music. It’s as if they said “let’s just do what Full House did, with lamer Boy Meets World style music”. Gregory Harrison starred and it was about a family…and that was it. No hook at all. The short instrumental tune was done by Jesse Frederick and, well, we’ll be talking a lot more about him. And yes, instrumental. As in no lyrics just awful elevayor music.

Ten Favorite Fictional Towns & Cities

Last year I did a list of my favorite fantasy world’s. You know, made up lands where our favorite fantasy characters exist. From OZ to Pandora, and by the way I realize I messed up when I said Hogwart’s didn’t count. Even though it is in Scotland you need to run into a wall onto a magic train to get there, and be a wizard, so my bad.

 

Anyway, getting off topic. Fantasy world’s are fun and all but what about regular cities and town’s? It’s really quite amazing how, when done right, a made up city or town and be just as much a character as anyone else in the TV show, movie, or comic book. Like Mayberry on “The Andy Griffith Show”, Hazard County on “Dukes of Hazard”, Stars Hollow on “Gilmore Girls”, Cabot Cove on "Murder She Wrote, Cicely on "Northern Exposure", and of course Angel Grove which people are gonna kill me for leaving off, but I never watched Power Ranges. EVER.

 

So here are my ten favorites. Couple rules, they need to be ordinary town and cities in America that just happen to have quirky characters living there. Also no existing cities. While it’s true Spider-Man is synonymous with New York City it doesn’t count since, of course, NYC is quite real.

 #10.Bedford Falls

It’s a Wonderful Life is an amazing movie. One reason for that is the acting by Jimmy Stewart. But another important element is the setting. We get to really know the town and townspeople of Bedford Falls in he movie. Who doesn’t know Martini’s bar? Or want to grab a cap from Ernie? And of course there’s the Bailey Building and Loan. In fact we get so familiar with the town that when we get to the angel stuff, the change is quite jarring! The town was so well done that it’s seem impossible to believe that the whole thing was a set. Yep it was one of the largest sets ever constructed for a movie and they made it as authentic as possible. And it worked, since it just wouldn’t be the same movie anywhere else.

Top 10 Favorite Seinfeld Episodes (20 Years Later)

 

It’s been a long while since I did anything about my favorite show ever. Of course a good reason for that is because six years ago I did an episode guide where I talked about every episode. Has it been that long? Speaking of “has it been that long?”, guess what turned twenty this year? The final episode of Seinfeld aired twenty years ago in May. You know me, always first to cover a milestone. Anyway, the final episode is now twenty years old…
and I still hate it. Ok I am no longer irate about it. I am not kidding when I say that at the time, I swore to never watch another episode again. Yeah I still watch the show every day so that sure didn’t last. I’ve seen the episode enough times again that I can accept it, flawed as it is! But I did some digging and found about a dozen articles on that final episode 20 years later, and how it pissed so many people off. So I decided to do something a little different. I never really discussed my favorite e episodes. I discussed the one’s that are not my favorite, why back when, but what about the one’s I personally love?

 

So to celebrate twenty years since the finale, almost thirty years of Seinfeld, here they are. Not necessarily the “Best” episodes, just the one’s i have a real fondness for. These aren’t just episodes I can (and probably have) watched 1,000 times but episodes I still get a laugh from. They are also episodes that bring back a special memory and I can even recall watching them the first time. I did limit to ten, which was hard, at least one per season. And to make it easier on myself, in broadcast order.





The Library

No Season 1 so let’s go right to Season 2 where I can’t believe how young I was when these aired. Man do I have memories of this one. First of all, when Jerry does his bit on school says at the end I remember still being in high school and Man am I old. Second, there was a time in my English class when my teacher was talking about what people do with yearbook’s and half the class said “put it on a bookshelf” obviously recalling the scene in this episode where Jerry gets his yearbook out. It’s a memorable episode with the Library cop and of course that final scene where we find out what happened to that book after all. Clever and funny. “The Phone Message” is great too, I still remember the laugh when George announces his father wore sneaker in the pool. It just barely made it here.

Top 10 Favorite “Arrow-Verse” Characters

A few months ago I teased an article about memorable villain introductions in movies. Problem is, I couldn’t really come up with any. I guess my memory of these moments is a bit inaccurate. So instead, let’s discuss the DC TV Universe.

When Arrow came around I scoffed, it sounded like such a stupid idea. Especially after the way Smallville had recently portrayed the character (I give that show a of of credit but not for that). But it’s actually pretty darn good and has spawned three successful show’s. Two of them direct spin-offs. I watched Flash mostly due to nostalgia for the old 90’s show, but it was good!  At first Supergirl was its on thing until the crossover events (which are awesome) tied her into the Arrow-Verse as it’s been called. Yeah it’s more girlie but so what? And while Legends of Tomorrow is a silly show, the characters are strong and the show is fun in a goofy way. Even the creators get that considering what they did in the season finale!! So while Marvel has it’s cinematic universe, DC has managed to corner the TV side of things.

I have discussed this here and here. Like my “way to long” article on Flash’s first season and Supergirl’s. I also discussed the crossover “Invasion” two years ago, but that’s all I’ve really discussed. So today let’s go over my favorite characters, the one’s that keep me coming back. By the way I did see “Crisis on Earth-X” and while it wasn’t perfect it was pretty damn good.

Oh and since Black Lightning isn’t an official part of the universe I am not counting that show (which I have no watched). And yes Constantine is a part of the universe but I never watched that either. And to avoid this going on forever only the main characters, and no villains.




#10.Cisco and Kaitlyn
If you read my extensive review of Flash Season 1 you may note that I was a little harsh on Cisco, I just did not like him when he first came around. And while I always liked Kaitlyn I like her more as the series evolves and she was able to kick ass as Killer Frost. Flash works because of its strong supporting cast, including Tom Cavanaugh but I didn’t have room for him here. And we have Joe West who is always crying, and his son Wally who isn’t bad as Kid Flash. Oh and yes we got Elongated Man this year who grew on me also, curious to see what they do with him next year.

Top 10 Favorite Episodes of He-Man and the Masters of the Universe

Because I’m so timely here is my celebration of the 30th anniversary of He-man and the Masters of the Universe..about four years to late. Oops.

 

When I was a kid in the 80’s I adored He-Man. I watched it religiously every day. I went to see the “Secret of the Sword” movie which introduced She-Ra. I had as many of the action figures, vehicles, and playsets that I could. I even went to at least one “live” show they had a local mall. I simply adored this show. I know today it gets made fun from the corny opening intro to the lame PSA’s at the end, the lack of violence due to the rules at the time (Just once I wanted to see He-Man PUNCH Skeletor), the fact that it existed to sell toys, and of course the idiotic innuendo that some insist on forcing on to this character. This show gets a bad rep, but man was it awesome!

It was part of my childhood and I loved it. However one thing I have noticed is that thirty-three years later, I don’t remember a lot of it. 130 episodes and only a handful stand out. Oh sure there are bits and pieces I may recall. For instance, I talked before how I remember Dree Elle’s song from “Dree Elle’s Return” but I had no clue for years what episode that was in or that Dree Elle was singing. Because the song was an earworm but the episode was meh. I guess it’s fair to say that a lot of episodes weren’t high art. Skeletor did something, and He-Man eventually stopped it. So I guess that it makes sense that many of the episode wouldn’t stand out. Some of the goofy stuff was really silly too. For years I forgot Cringer and/or Battlecat talked. Why did they talk??

But that doesn’t mean some of the episodes didn’t rise above the rest and stand out as either well told stories or really exciting fun. Here are ten episodes I never forgot, not all are probably the best episodes though many are. And of course this is all opinion, feel free to disagree.





#10.”Diamond Ray of Disappearance” (Season 1)

Kind of cheating a little here but I figured the best way to start this was with the pilot. And it’s a damn good pilot! It introduces the characters, has high stakes, and gives us some great action. In fact we see more of Skeletor’s evil minions than just Beast Man and Trap Jaw, which was rare. Skeletor had discovered the titular diamond ray which makes people disappear just by looking at it. Skeletor almost gets into Greyskull before He-Man can get the diamond and crush it. And kudos, it isn’t easy! He-Man isn’t often given limits it’s nice to see when he is.

Top 10 Nuttiest Board Games Based on TV Shows

Back in the old days of cave drawings when I was young, we didn’t just play video games but board games. You know, with a game board?  Ok Ok I am being very snarky. Everyone has played a board game in their life, whether it be Monopoly or Scrabble or Trivial Pursuit (my families game of choice).



But remember a few weeks ago I talked about cereals which were so bizarre that they didn’t even make sense? Usually these were based on something popular at the time. Well board games can be like that too. The list of movies and TV show based board games is staggering, and some make no sense at all! The Addams Family? Archie Bunker?? Saved By The Bell???? Beverly Hills, 90210 had a Twister knockoff which was lame. The worst may be the Murder, She Wrote game which is as blatant a Clue rip off as you’ll ever see! But while a board game based on a movie at least has a plot to base the game around, TV shows take a little more imagination. As a result most of these kinds of games are…..lame.

Here are ten board games that really existed…even though they make no sense whatsoever. I don’t mean the rules don’t make sense, I mean the fact that the game exists at all makes no sense! One rule, I am not counting when a popular show or movie is forced onto an already existing game like all the novelty Monopoly’s out there.




#10.Knight Rider

Not the worst idea, I guess. I’m very sure I had this as a kid. My question is about the box, what was up with the picture of David Hasselhoff? Could they not quite the rights to his image? Anyway the rules involve driving KITT around and avoiding trouble. Yeah, think I see why I don’t remember this one.

Top 10 Craziest Breakfast Cereals

Ah, cereals. We all know the mascots that have been around for ages. Tony the Tiger, Captain Crunch, that crazy Cocoa Puffs bird,,,. But what’s really fun is when a breakfast cereal comes out just to be part of a craze. It exists because something is popular a the time, usually a movie or cartoon, and we eat it up because we were stupid kids. No, just kidding we tried because it was on based on a character or franchise we couldn’t get enough of. Usually these were awful and never lasted long, but some were just so out there I decided it was worth discussing them.



Now to be fair, most of these novelty cereals were really just typical cereal with funny marshmallows in them (Pac-Man for instance which kind of worked actually, Ghostbusters which was just fruit loops with marshmallows). Some just simply threw a face on the box which had zero to do with the cereal and that was it (Wheaties may be the worst offender of this, Casper appeared on Chex boxes for some reason, Yogi Bear on OK’s in the olden days). And other cereals were named after the character or property but they did nothing special with the cereal at all (Mr.T and GI Joe is just Honey Combs in different shapes, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles was Chex with marshmallows, Rainbow Brite was just a Lucky Charms rip off, and the two Simpsons themes cereals were nothing special).

#10.Wonder

Why would anyone come out with this? Ok I suppose cereal isn’t that far from bread, it is just grain, but Wonder Bread is a pretty bland product (heck the term “Wonder Bread” is often used as an insult) so who thought making a cereal out of it would interest people? At least Dunkin Donuts Cereal sounds like it could be tasty. Yeah Rice Krispies is just as boring but that had a brilliant marketing campaign "Snap, Crackle, Pop!"

Ten Annoying Ad Campaign’s That Drive Me Nuts!!

Hey have you seen those Chevy commercials where “real people” stand around a Chevy and act as if they’ve never seen a car before?

Yeah Chevy has been running these ads for awhile now and they drive me nuts. What am I supposed to think, that a random women said the car was “the jam” that means I have to get myself one??? Either these are not “real people” or they are coached because their reactions are not how people react (there are parody videos all over YouTube which illustrate this).


However, this is not the first ad campaign that drives me nuts. It’s one thing when we get a commercial that sucks, it’s one ad and you know it will go away eventually. Sometimes it’s so bad it never even air (Kendall Jenner anyone?) But a  “campaign” is another story. Endless ads with the same message all more annoying then the rest. Here are a few that I hated over the years. These aren’t necessarily controversial or even the worst out there, they just aggravated me :




The Burger King Guy
There are a lot of things that scream 90’s, this annoying jerk is one of them. As awful as that plastic Burger King thing they show is, at least he didn’t talk! He just glared at you…maybe that’s not better. Amway, this guy was Dan Cortese and he was so damn annoying! By the way in the ad below Burger King brags about bringing the food out to you. Yeah, how long did it take them to get over that stupid idea?

Top 10 Favorite Space Vessels From TV and Movies

You would think that this idea would be a breeze. But truth is, I don’t watch as much sci fi as you’d think. But after reading Les’s  great articles on this subject, it got me thinking that there were some spaceships I really loved and it was time to finally acknowledged them. So how do I go about this then? One way is to open up the criteria a bit, to cover things I only have a vague awareness of. Not be afraid to pick more than one from each franchise (which I notice is common as I look at other articles) and finally, open it up to more than just “ships”. Though since I have discussed cars already, no cars.



So here are my ten favorite Sci Fi space vessels, and my apologies for all the wonderful shows (and movies) I’ll be leaving off here like Buck Rogers, Red Dwarf, Babylon 5, and Firefly. I’m sorry Serenity, you look cool and all I just know nothing about you! And that pic of Red Dwarf is kind of badass, why is it red?

10.Commicron One

Does this count? The heck with it, it’s my list. If you’re not aware, Atop the Fourth Wall is a web series with an going story line. A part of that story line was when Lord Vyce attacked, and after Linkara defeated him he kept the ship, re dubbed Comicron One. The ship is really cool and has become a character all its own. This is largely helped by the AI that runs it, named Nimue. I know some may disagree but that scene in To Bodly Flee where Comicron One suddenly appears to save the day is one of favorite moments ever!

Top 15 Favorite TV Maids/Housekeepers

Ok last one, call it a three part series on food servers, I guess.


Housekeepers are fixture in TV, it’s as simple as that! From Aunt Bee on Andy Griffith to Rosie the Robot on The Jetsons to Mrs.Featherbottom on Arrested Development, we have seen all kinds of housekeepers, male and female. I guess because these characters are always the fun characters. They have the great lines and quick often, and often manage to be smarter than anyone else on the show (even if no one else realizes that!).



So here are my fifteen favorites. Wait, 15???? Yeah there were way to many to limit this to ten. The only rule is these have to be regulars on the respective series, and not one shots.





#15.Florida from Maude

Maude was a very strong willed woman, the kind of person that it would be hard to stand up to. Which is probably why people enjoyed the way Florida took none of that nonsense. She was so popular they spun her off to Good Times after two seasons.

Top 10 Favorite TV Restaurant Managers/Bartenders

Ok I wasn’t going to tackle this one so soon, but since I already thought about it I figured why the heck not?





I discussed waitresses or food servers last time, but what about the managers of these places? Usually they are colorful characters in their own right, from Mr.Gaines on A Different World to Han Lee on 2 Broke Girls. Even when a show isn’t based around a eatery usually if the characters spend enough time there we get to know the staff. For example, on Coach they spent a lot of time at The Touchdown Club and we got to know that manager so well he returned for the series finale. Three’s Company had The Regal Beagle which was as much a part of that show as any other character. Seinfeld is a perfect example, as we became as familiar with the owner of Monk’s named Larry, the cashier Ruthie and several recurring waitress’s as well as any other character on this show. In fact Ruthie appears in more episodes than any other recurring character, though she only spoke in one episode.


I am counting as managers anyone who runs the place even if they also cook and tend bar at the same time. Also no one timers. They have to be regulars who appeared several times in the series (sorry Soup Nazi). Finally, they do have to work in a restaurant or bar. So no housekeepers and sorry but Hawkeye serving Martini’s on MASH doesn’t count.


#10.Ike Johnson from Love & War

Yeah oh this one is even more obscure than my “It’s a Living” choice on the last list. But I put it here for two reasons. One is that I always liked the actor, John Hancock, who sadly died just a few episodes into the series. The other reason is, I thought he was good on the show! He was the tough but lovable bartender and probably the best character on that show. This is so obscure I couldn’t even find a picture to put here (hence the cast photo above). After Hancock died the role was filled by Charlie Robinson who filled those shoes very admirably.

Top 10 Favrorite TV Waitresses

There are lots of professions in TV that are popular for writers and creators. Teachers is a big one, not to mention doctors of all sorts.  Another has to be the waitress. Not sure why that is, but maybe it’s because we’ve all had experiences with waitress’s. Whether they’re sassy and smart, ditzy and dumb, or just really attractive we can all relate to these professionals. So today, I wanted to list my ten favorite waitress’s from TV shows over the last several years.



Couple rules, one is that this list is only women. Yes I know men can be waiters and I’m sure they are fantastic but let’s be honest on TV it’s the waitress’s that keep us interested. I want to limit this to regular cast members but there is at least one who is more of recurring character. So let’s say they have to appear more than a few times. Also, the character has to be have been a waitress for more than a single episode. Though not necessarily the run of the series. Many shows will throw a character into a waiter role for a gag (they did it with Marion on Happy Days when she worked at Arnold’s for instance, or the two episodes Laverne and Shirley worked as waitresses at a diner and hi jinks ensued. Whitley on A Different World was a waitress for a whole day. Buffy was also. And yes Monica on Friends worked as a waitress at a 50’s dimer but only for a few episodes and it was dropped and forgotten very quickly). Finally, the waitress has to work at an eating establishment such a bar or restaurant, no housekeepers or the like who work out of homes. That’s a whole other list.




#10.Max Black and Caroline Channing from 2 Broke Girls

This show has some good points and some very bad points. In fact I dare say it has one of the worst supporting casts I’ve ever seen in a TV show. They’re all unlikable stereotypes!  So why is this show a hit then? Because the chemistry between Max and Caroline is irresistible. They just play so well of each other. They are total opposites but somehow it works,  they’re true friends. I also like how in this show the girls have a dream and have actively been pursuing it. Some shows a character will have a dream and do next to nothing to achieve it for the bulk of the series, until one day when the writers remember to do something with it. But while they work for that dream they work at Williamsburg Diner in Brooklyn.

My Favorite "NOOOO!!"'s From TV and Movies

One of the biggest cliche’s in movies or TV is the yelling of NOOO!!! when things go bad. This is usually a very dramatic moment, though sometimes it can unintentionally silly. This has been done so many times that picking just a few was simultaneously easy and hard. There are dozens of these, but I managed to find my favorites. Though I decided not to limit them to a certain number, these are just some of the one’s I love, in no particular order…




Michael Scott in The Office
Honestly, I am just sharing this because it’s just a cute clip. I have no idea what episode it’s from, nor do I feel like trying to find out. But it’s a nice way to kick off the list. Steve Carel is awesome he can make things that shouldn’t be funny, funny as hell.

Frodo in Lord of the Rings
I don’t think it’s a secret that I have never seen these movies, but that doesn’t mean I am not aware of some of the things that happen in them. One of them being the reaction when Gandolf dies, and Frodo’s very passionate reaction!

Top 10 (well, 11) Star Trek Crossover’s

When TNG came along the wonder was whether or not any original characters would appear on the new series. The same was wondered when DS9 and Voyager came along. It was more than clear that the series all shared the same universe, so why not? And thankfully crossover’s did happen between the series and the fans loved them.



The above picture of Bashir and Data come from the TNG episode Birthright, and I forgot about it. So it’s not on the main list, count it as an honorary mention I guess. The episode sucked anyway. And I am not including when an actor from one show appeared on another as a different character. That’s another list. And no, Worf on Deep Space Nine doesn’t count since he became a regular. And if you’re wondering about Troi’s appearance on Voyager, that was only Ok. The first time was cute but the problem was they kept bringing her back and it got boring. And what about "Trials and Tribble-ations"? As epic as that TOS/DS9 crossover was I decided it just didn't count since the actors never physically appeared together.

10.Doctor on Deep Space Nine

This was a unique way to do a crossover. Have the character..and yet not have the character. The Doctor of course was the Emergency Medical Hologram on Voyager. In one episode of DS9 his creator appeared to enlist Bashir into the EMH program.

The time has come my friends. I have wanted to do this but kept putting it off, mostly because let’s be honest my first two slots aren’t that shocking. But this is something that deserves to finally be discussed, so here we go.



Internet reviewing is a huge thing now and while I have stated before there was a time when Nostalgia Critic was all I watched, there are others I like and watch (or watched if they are no longer around). So here are my ten favorite internet reviewers, and yes there are some on here who technically have retired and do not review anymore. And yes a majority of these come from Channel Awesome, I have watched stuff on other sites including Agony Booth but never really cared enough to go back. I did like Sofie Liv, where did she go?




#10.Todd in the Shadows

This was the hardest slot to fill, several people could have fit in here. Why Todd? He seems like a nice enough guy, but man do I disagree with some of the things he says. He clearly knows about music but his tastes are very…rigid. Still it is nice to have music reviews and I enjoy some his stuff like his Madonna retrospective. I have watched his reviews more than once, though usually those are crossovers, and so it seems fitting he should get the #10 spot.

Top 10 Dumbest Superman Powers & Abltiies

Ever have a great idea for an article only to find out about a hundred people have already done it? Ah well, here is my two cents worth.

 

Superman is one of my favorite characters, and while he has some incredible powers and abilities it seems like writers and creators keep wanting to tack on even more crazy powers.  Ok some things I can buy, he has super speed and strength which explains a lot of stuff. Yeah Ok at times he could be almost godlike, but still. And can he breathe in space or not? Depends on which era you’re reading a comic book from. And I can accept the guy is smart enough to do instantaneous calculations in his head. In fact a lot of things he did in the old days make sense they just made it stupid buy adding “super” in front of everything. And in one issue of World’s Finest he actually built another Earth…um, ok that one sounds stupid but I never read it.

Here are ten powers Superman demonstrated over the years that really make no sense. Majority of these come from the old old days when creators didn’t care very much, but it can happen in more modern days too.




#10.”Leaping” Tall Buildings

Yeah this one goes waayyy back, to when the character first appeared. But I never got what Siegel and Shuster were thinking. Was a flying man so far fetched? I mean the guy could outrace a locomotive and bullets could bounce off him, but flying? That’s crazy! No instead have him leap around like a giant insect or something. Maybe the expression “leap tall buildings in a single bound” sounded cool then, it’s lame now.
