Surfs up! Joker’s Under!
Plot:Joker wants to be the best surfer in the world.
Guest Stars:Cesar Romeo as The Joker
Trivia:I’d point out Joker and Batman aren’t really surfing but if you should be able to figure that out from the crappy blue screens
Niitpick:It’s a common nitpick of this show that Joker goes from criminal mastermind in season one to a , well, joke in season 3. And yeah I can see that. This is episode is generally considered the jumping the shark episode for this series.

Final Thoughts:So what is Joker’s real scheme you may be thinking? Surfing, that’s it. Joker kidnaps surfers with a plan to steal all their secrets and be the greatest surfer. And then rule the world? I dunno it’s so lame. At least Penguin and Riddler were fixing sports for money, here the Joker has no real goal. Batman and Robin converge on the beach as do O’Hara and Gordon undercover in attire that screams 60’s. The awful music is exceptionally bad here. I gave credit we got no hippie song a few episodes, here we get a beach song! Yay. When Batman and Robin sweep in on The Joker they are pinned by needles thrown but Joker and his goons. I almost wish Batgirl had saved them, it would have made more sense. This somehow leads to a showdown between Joker and Batman. At one point even Joker has a look like this makes no damn sense. The rest is a battle of the stock footage vs cheap bluescreens and I want out. Did I mention the shark? STOP!!!!
Grade:F, I Hesitate to give F’s because even the worst episodes give something interesting or memorable. Until you find one like this that fails on all counts. No kidding this was hard to sit through. I’m just sad the worse episode had to be a Joker story.
