You cold argue Star Wars is what really started the memorabilia craze, or at the very least is one of the first to make adult’s just as excited as kids for toys, games, etc. Unlike others I talked about here, I didn’t have a tremendous amount of Star Wars stuff, so this is just an overview of what’s been out there. Star Wars merchandise is so huge it gets down right insane at times
Yeah, good example. WTF??
TOYS
OK OK…I’ve talked abut the Kenner action figures and toys I had growing up to death, we all know there is nothing more profitable from this franchise than toys and action figures. So we’ll cover some other items of interest
Video Games
Do I even need to go into detail here? The latest games are so detailed that they practically tell stories all their own.
And we had own decent stuff back in the good old days too!
Of course we have board games too. And a Monopoly version for every Star Wars movie I think.
True story, I got Phantom Menace Monopoly for Christmas and since I cared neither for Monopoly for the awful movie it sat under my bed wrapped and untouched, I always figured I could sell it someday, but it disappeared when I got divorced.
Are lunch boxes still a thing? I miss lunch boxes
Stuffed Toys
The Ewok’s and the Porq’s make logical sense (I may have even had a stuffed Ewok once) and I cam maybe buy C3PO and R2D2 but wo in the world is cuddling up with a stuffed Darth Vader and Bobba Fett????
T Shirts
Like I said in the other articles there have been so many t shirts that I could do five blogs and still not cover all of them.
And I love this hoodie!
Once you got your Star Wars pajamas on you cab climb into your Star Wars bed
Don’t forget to turn off your star wars light…
I’m almost positive I had this one. What is it? An eraser for the top of your pencil. Because of course it is. I loved R2D2 I don’t know why I didn’t have more R2D2 stuff. I wonder if there was an alarm clock
of course there was
Lego
I know I said no toys but I couldn’t pass up the chance to mention the Lego Star Wars products which there are a TON of
Oh and I do have this in my house right now…
a kitchen timer! The only thing sillier would be a popcorn popper shaped like the death star
again, of course there is!
And yes I have this toaster. Not had, have it. Right now. Yes, there is a waffle maker too.
As always McDonald’s came out with Star Wars Happy Meal’s for every movie. And I really need to do a real article on Happy Meal’s someday.
We all know there were C3PO’s in the 80’s, but has there been any other Star Wars cereal?
And there are other food items that have Star Wars on them….
Lots, some stupider than others
I love the mugs they came out with the newest movies
As always, there are collector plates.
I’d be remiss if I didn’t mention all the books that have come out over the years. Honestly, I can never get through them. But that’s just me because fans love these books. And even though they are non-canon, even more so these days, for many fans these books expand the Star Wars universe in ways no movie series can
yes there were comics too, lots of them
Do I even need to say that I haven’t even scratched the surface yet? From costumes to models to pez dispensers, Star Wars is a phenomenon that is not going anywhere anytime soon! In fact if buying stuff isn’t enough for you, well you can always visit this:
